How Mitcham PC Solutions collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains how Mitcham PC Solutions collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or use our computer repair and IT support services.

Who we are

Mitcham PC Solutions is run by Steve Mitcham, a sole trader based at 9 Gallipoli Drive, Norton, Worcester WR5 2PJ. We are the “controller” of your personal information, which means we decide how it is used.

If you have any questions about this notice or your information, contact us by email at info@mitchampcsolutions.co.uk or by phone on 07515 881978.

What information we collect

  • Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your message when you use our contact form, email us or call us.
  • Customer and job details: your name, address and contact details, details of your computer or device, the work carried out, and any quotes or invoices.
  • Payment details: a record of payments you make to us. We do not store your full card details; card and PayPal payments are handled by the payment provider.
  • Information on your devices: while repairing or setting up a computer, we may be able to see files stored on it. We only access what is needed to do the work you have asked for, and we do not copy, keep or share your files unless you ask us to (for example, for data recovery or transferring files to a new computer).

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiries and arrange appointments.
  • To carry out the repairs, set-up and support you have asked for.
  • To send quotes and invoices and keep business and tax records.
  • To contact you about work we are doing for you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing emails.

Our legal reasons for using your information

  • Contract: we need your information to provide the services you have asked for.
  • Legal obligation: we must keep certain records for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries and run our business properly, in ways you would reasonably expect.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed to run our business, with:

  • Our website and email host (Fasthosts), which stores this website and our email, including messages sent through the contact form.
  • Payment providers such as PayPal, our bank and our card payment provider, when you pay us.
  • Our accountant or HMRC, where required for tax purposes.

We may also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them. Customer and invoice records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes (normally six years), and are then securely deleted.

Cookies and this website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics to track you. WordPress, the system that runs the website, only sets cookies when an administrator logs in.

The website uses fonts provided by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. You can read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Keeping your information safe

We take sensible steps to protect your information, including keeping our website and software up to date and storing records securely.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete your information, where we no longer need to keep it;
  • object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your information.

To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
